Whitestone Dome Glass for the OnePlus 7 Pro, the best choice?

Firstly, I want to start off with why this is a written article on my Unfiltered Tech site and not a video on my Youtube channel. It includes and list of events including issues with Final Cut, air conditioner break downs and broken hard drives. It really sucks and hopefully I can get back to videos real soon! But until then I don't want to keep all my wonderful viewers or the great companies who have sent me some products to check out waiting. So here I am despite having a list of recorded videos, writing my review on Whitestone's latest screen protectors.

Before I get started my set of Whitestone Dome Glass screen protectors for the OnePlus 7 Pro were provide by Whitestone for this review.

Now you guys should know by now that I'm a big fan of the screen protectors that Whitestone puts out. I personally have used them on every device since I first tried them, simply because there is no one out there doing what Whitestone is doing (mainly because its patented :) Whitestone's screen protectors have become a must for devices with curved screens because others simply don't work. I remember the large amount of tempered glass protectors that I had ordered from Amazon for devices like the Galaxy S8+ because some of them would stick to the curves for a grand total of ..... 10 second... really that happened.

So the OnePlus 7 Pro is really no different in fact its curves are much more defined then the Galaxy S8+ ones so I knew any other screen protector wouldn't work from the start.

Inside the box you get what we come to expect from Whitestone at this point you get the:

  • The cradle (which you will be putting your OnePlus 7 Pro in)

  • An Instruction booklet (you should go over this as well as some instal videos if this is your first time)

  • 2 tubes of adhesive (In case you mess up the first time)

  • A few microfiber cloths

  • 3 dust removal stickers

  • 3 wipes (for cleaning this display)

  • A box which contains the UV Lamp and cord

  • Last but not least the Whitestone dome glass protector itself

This is not going to be an installation guide since there are many good videos out there that do show the install of these screen protectors, as well as the fact that I have messed up a few times installing these so rather not steer anyone wrong here.

Once you get the screen protector on you will notice that it not only fits your display snugly, but you will also have great confidence that this screen protector will not be falling off anytime soon. The Dome Glass screen protector from Whitestone provides the protection that competitor's tempered glass offers but without the the frustration that tempered glass screen protecters bring when dealing with curved screens.

Now I could defiantly see why people would be hesitant to buy this screen protector but price shouldn't be reason. While Best Buy does not sell a screen protector for the OnePlus 7 Pro, if we take a look at the best selling screen protector for the Galaxy S10+ we see a competitor's product (DomeGlass is not sold in Best Buy Stores) which cost $44.99 which does not offer the better installations and protection that the Dome Glass offers.

If your considered about buying this because it looks difficult to install, don't be worried! While yes I have messed up on small things like putting the speaker cover too far down on my S10+ install, overall they are not hard to install. The detailed process in my opinion gives you the ability to install the screen protector properly the first time. No bubbles forming under it and No miss aligned screen protectors is a great advantage to the slightly more complex install process!
